In the January transfer window, striker Santiago Gimenez has revealed his thoughts as West Ham and Chelsea vie for the 21-goal sensation.

Because they are strikers, West Ham and Chelsea have been quite visible in their pursuit of a new forward.

And that’s why the Hammers and Blues are reportedly interested in the same player, Santiago Gimenez of Feyenoord, according to HITC and a number of other outlets.

According to recent reports from Holland, West Ham is reaching out to Gimenez, a striker from Mexico.

But Chelsea, West Ham’s fierce rivals, have also taken notice of the Mexico international’s goal-per-game performance.

Gimenez speaks up during the match between West Ham and Chelsea.

especially in light of Armando Broja and Nicolas Jackson’s subpar play, Christopher Nkunku’s fitness issues, and Mauricio Pochettino’s declaration that Chelsea needs a striker.

Since the beginning of the year, Mohammed Kudus at the AFCON and injuries to Jarrod Bowen, Lucas Paqueta, and Michail Antonio have severely reduced West Ham’s front line.

Despite the interest from their London rivals, Feyenoord is said to “have little interest in selling Gimenez.”

But while West Ham and Chelsea compete for the 21-goal star, Gimenez, the striker, has suddenly opened up about a move.
As reported by Hammers News, Gimenez expressed his wish to leave Feyenoord as soon as possible in an interview with the Spanish publication Marca.
“It’s been a success to start my journey in Europe here at Feyenoord,” Gimenez declared.

Because they have gotten the most out of me, the club has prospered.

And I’m aware that their goal is for me to develop so they can sell me for the most money. It is a fact of life that teams like Feyenoord rely on.

“I am at ease in that regard; there is a path.”

Ironically, after losing faith in Chelsea’s Broja, West Ham has shifted its focus to Gimenez and other players.

The top source inside the club told Hammers News this weekend that David Moyes did like Broja.

However, the source claimed that Chelsea is merely asking for excessive amounts of money.
