BEST OF ALL : Raiders Under Contract: CB Jack Jones………
Las Vegas Raiders cornerback Jack Jones was perhaps the most unlikely positive addition the club made to its roster this past season.
Jones, who was selected by the New England Patriots in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft, was signed by New England to a rookie deal worth $4.4-million, with a $747,000 signing bonus.
After 18 games with the club, the Patriots waived Jones back in November. The Raiders claimed him the very next day.
Jones had been known for his history with Raiders Coach Antonio Pierce, who coached the 26-year-old cornerback at the high school and college levels. That connection proved to be quite beneficial when Jones joined the Silver and Black.
In just his fourth game with Las Vegas, Jones recorded a pick-six in the Raiders’ 63-21 vanquishing of the Los Angeles Chargers. He also added five combined tackles and a pass defensed in the victory.
