Padres Reportedly Showing Interest In Ex-Red Sox Outfielder After Strong Season

One former member of the Boston Red Sox still is out there in free agency despite Opening Day quickly approaching.

The 2024 season is just about here but there still are some intriguing players somehow still available in free agency. One player who is looking for his next opportunity is veteran outfielder Tommy Pham.

Pham spent the 2023 season with the New York Mets and Arizona Diamondbacks and impressed with 16 home runs and 68 RBIs in 129 games played. He spent the 2023 season with the Cincinnati Reds and Red Sox and had 17 home runs and 63 RBIs.

It’s unclear where he will land, but one team that reportedly is showing interest in him is the San Diego Padres, according to FanSided’s Robert Murray.

“Free-agent outfielder Tommy Pham drew interest from the Pittsburgh Pirates before the team signed Michael A. Taylor, sources say,” Murray said. “The Pirates, who were aggressively pursuing an outfielder, also expressed interest in Adam Duvall before he signed with the Atlanta Braves.
