UNBELIEVABLE: Detroit Lions head coach request for termination of contract as he bitterly explained…….

Rick Spielman, an NFL analyst and former general manager, talks about the 49ers’ top offseason priorities with Matt Maiocco on “49ers Talk.”
The 49ers have taken care of a necessity while the hectic free-agency process goes on.

According to KPRC 2’s Aaron Wilson on Friday, who cited a source, former Detroit Lions cornerback Chase Lucas has reached an agreement to terms on a contract with the 49ers.

After the Lions selected Lucas with the No. 237 pick in the 2022 NFL draft, he played with the team for two seasons. He spent most of his time playing special teams for Detroit, and he should play a similar role for the 49ers.

During the first week of free agency, San Francisco has been active, cutting defensive lineman Arik Armstead and renegotiating the contracts of numerous other important players to free up additional salary cap space. They have also signed a few other free agents.
