Tyler Boyd, a wide receiver with the Cincinnati Bengals for a long time, will play football somewhere this coming season. His hometown Pittsburgh Steelers have been the presumptive favorite ever before free agency started.

But according to a report by Mark Kaboly of The Athletic, the Steelers might have different ideas.

Kaboly tweeted, “Some (not all) inside the Steelers not 100% on board with signing Tyler Boyd.” “At this point, it doesn’t seem anywhere near certain like it did a week ago, but there is still time to work things out and everything is still on the table.”

Boyd has faced the Steelers twice a year throughout the entirety of his eight-year NFL tenure as a Bengal. But he hails from Pittsburgh, where he performed his

Boyd would be offered playing time by the Steelers after Pittsburgh traded fellow receiver Diontae Johnson to the Carolina Panthers last week, but it’s possible that his home team won’t sign him.

The only way the Bengals will re-sign Boyd is if he doesn’t find a market before signing a little contract to return to Cincinnati. And if the Steelers are declining his offer, you have to question whether Boyd’s market is truly stagnating.
