ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) – The Buffalo Bills added pass-rushing depth by signing free agent defensive end Casey Toohill to a one-year contract on Tuesday.

The 27-year-old Toohill joins Buffalo after spending the past three-plus seasons with Washington, where last season he had a career-best five sacks in 16 games, including eight starts. He´s listed at 6-foot-5 and 250 pounds.

Toohill was selected by ORCHARD PARK, in the seventh round of the 2020 NFL draft out of Stanford, and appeared in just one game with the Eagles before being waived and claimed by Washington.

He has seven sacks and three fumble recoveries in 57 career games, including 14 starts.

Toohill will be given the opportunity to shore up the Bills’ pass rush after the team lost starter Leonard Floyd to free agency and has not re-signed backup Shaq Lawson.

Also Tuesday, the Bills announced they re-signed backup running back Ty Johnson to a one-year deal, which he agreed to last week
