Good News: Just in bulldogs confirms the signing of another NFL star for a contract of…

It wasn’t that long ago that Oscar Delp was the freshman who was trying to get up to speed as part of an incredibly deep tight end room at Georgia. None of those older tight ends are still Bulldogs, which means Delp is now positioned to lead and appears ready to do so.

Delp will go through spring as the veteran in the tight end room, a status that will change a bit this summer when Stanford transfer Benjamin Yurosek arrives. Yurosek’s addition aside, Delp admitted that it is pretty strange how quickly things have changed, though he knows he’s learned the ropes alongside some excellent tight ends.

“It’s crazy,” Delp said about his newfound status. “I remember when I got here my first spring and how crazy that is for a freshman to go through, so I know what those guys are going through and how they’re feeling. It’s definitely different to be on the other side of things finally

Delp saw his role grow more and more over the past two years, and he ended his sophomore season with 10 starts, 24 receptions, 284 yards, and 3 touchdowns. Delp has shown flashes of living up to the hype he had as a highly-rated high school prospect, and all eyes are on him now that Brock Bowers has moved on to the NFL.
