Florida State football’s 2025 recruiting class has a chance to be a special group. The Seminoles are looking to build off of its successful 2023 campaign where it accomplished an undefeated regular season and a conference championship.
This is an opportunity where the coaching staff can showcase its on-the-field success as well as development among players on the roster.
The Seminoles have not secured a prospect’s commitment in the 2025 cycle since four-star defensive end Javion Hilson flipped his pledge from Alabama to Florida State in January. It is difficult sometimes to see the fruits of their labor coming through.
Honestly, I get the frustration but we all have to remember that there are still seven months until the Early Signing Period in December. Florida State is gearing up to have a special summer period where they host several official visitors on campus.
One prospect that is four-star linebacker Tavion Wallace from Wayne County High School in Jesup, Georgia. Wallace will be committing to the school of his choice on July 15th.
According to a report from On3’s Keith Niebuhr, the Florida State Seminoles and Florida Gators are battling for the talented linebacker.
It is a tough pill to swallow, but Florida State has to continue to showcase that they want Wallace in their recruiting class. While they already have four-star linebacker Ethan Pritchard in the fold, they cannot miss the opportunity to land a top-five prospect at a position of need.
The Seminoles will get the last official visit on the massive June 21st recruiting weekend before making his decision. This should pay dividends in allowing Florida State to be the school that he chooses.
