The best Warriors player in the world Steph Curry, agreed to a $72.4 million deal to leave…
During an interview with Dan Patrick, NBA legend Charles Barkley said he would choose Isiah Thomas over Stephen Curry.
“I feel bad for Isiah because he’s the best little man ever until Steph Curry,” Barkley said. “He never probably got the credit or respect that he deserved. And so I feel bad about it. I got nothing but respect for Isiah. … And I’ll be honest with you, if I was in a game, if I had to choose — and I love Steph Curry and I know people gonna go on the internet because they ain’t got no life — if I had to choose between Steph Curry and Isiah, I’d probably go with Isiah in a scenario.
“But I love Steph, I love Isiah. But if I had one guy, if I had to choose between those two, I’m not gonna ever choose against Isiah.”
Thomas spent his entire NBA career with the Detroit Pistons. He won two championships and one Finals MVP while making 12 All-Star teams and five All-NBA teams.
Meanwhile, Curry has won four titles, two MVPs and one Finals MVP with the Golden State Warriors while making 10 All-Star teams and nine All-NBA teams.
Thomas has career averages of 19.2 points, 3.6 rebounds and 9.3 assists. He’s 10th in NBA history in assists and sixth in assists per game.
As for Curry, the sharpshooter has career averages of 24.8 points, 4.7 rebounds and 6.4 assists. He’s the all-time leader in 3-point field goals. Curry is also first in NBA history in free throw percentage.
Both Thomas and Curry are on the NBA 75th Anniversary Team. Curry will join Thomas in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame one day.
Most NBA observers have Magic Johnson, Thomas and Curry as the top three point guards in NBA history. Barkley, one of the greatest players of all time, is taking Thomas over Curry.
