33-year-old veteran sign by the San Francisco 49ers to play for Chase in 2024…

On Monday, the San Francisco 49ers added a 33-year-old veteran for the upcoming season. The 49ers are looking for experienced help to push them over the hump in the Super Bowl.

The 49ers dealt with numerous injuries late in the 2023 season, so they know they can’t add enough veterans for the upcoming season. They made sure to improve their offensive line with a player who should compete to be a swing tackle in training camp.

According to Ian Rapoport with the NFL Network, the 49ers signed offensive tackle Chris Hubbard to a one-year deal worth $1.375 million. The Pittsburgh Steelers signed Hubbard as an undrafted free agent before the 2013 season. He’s also played for the Cleveland Browns and Tennessee Titans. During his ten-year NFL career, he’s started 58 games and appeared in 94.

Per Pro Football Focus, Hubbard earned a 69.0 overall grade for his play last season. He played in 473 snaps. He gave up four sacks in 292 passing snaps. He played all but one of his snaps as a right tackle for the Titans last season.
