Former Super Bowl winning WR believes Patriots regret drafting Drake Maye
The Washington Commanders were well-positioned to exit the 2024 NFL Draft with a bounty of new players, and that’s precisely what they ended up doing. It began at the top with the second overall pick, which they used to select LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels, and continued into Day 2 of the draft, where they ended up making five more picks.
The 2024 draft class is loaded for Washington, and it only grew in size once a handful of undrafted free-agents were added into the mix as well. Of that group of undrafted free agents, one guy stands out among the rest as someone who could wind up on their 53-man roster to begin the 2024 season, so let’s see who that is and why he could end up being a dark-horse candidate to make the Commanders team.
Plenty of quarterbacks have made a name for themselves despite not hearing their name called during the draft. Kurt Warner and Tony Romo are the two most noteworthy examples, but there are plenty of others that are a part of that group too. And now, former Notre Dame quarterback Sam Hartman will be looking to join that club after he went undrafted before latching on with the Commanders as an undrafted free agent.
