The West Ham have agreed to a contract worth £13m deal…
West Ham United apparently have the opportunity to seal a truly unbelievable summer transfer window deal.
The summer transfer window will be a vitally important one for West Ham and our incoming new manager Julen Lopetegui.
The 57-year-old Spaniard has so many signings to make this summer, and has also been given the remit of bringing some of the talented youngsters through to the first-team.
David Moyes will be leaving an extremely unbalanced and ageing squad behind, so Lopetegui should be focusing his transfer business on players around the age of 19-23 in my opinion.
The big problem for the former Wolves boss will be signing all the players he needs without a massively lavish transfer budget.
He will definitely have to be thrifty in his player recruitment, and keep his eye out for any bargains that present themselves.
And they won’t come much better than this…
West Ham can seal bargain £13m summer transfer window deal
One area of the squad where Lopetegui really needs to strengthen is his central midfield department.
The Spaniard needs to bring in more quality competition and cover for Edson Alvarez.
And it seems like he has a golden opportunity to do just that for a really reasonable fee.
According to Nice-Matin, Nice midfielder Khephren Thuram could be signed for an unbelievable bargain this summer – just €15-20 million (£13-17 million).
The 23-year-old is a long-term transfer target for West Ham, and Lopetegui has do do absolutely everything in his power to bring the Frenchman to the London Stadium this summer.
In 25 Ligue 1 games for Nice this season, the Frenchman has bagged one goals and one assist. During those appearances, the 22-year-old has averaged 1.6 tackles and 1.3 clearances per match. He has made 41.2 passes per game on average and has recorded an impressive completion rate of 87.2% (Who Scored).
He has power, pace, energy, dynamism and athleticism in abundance – all attributes that we severely lack in the middle of the park.
For just £13 million, or £17 million at the very most, West Ham cannot go wrong by signing Thuram in the summer transfer window. Let’s hope that Lopetegui gets it done.
