Philadelphia 76ers Sign a new Big Superstar Form Minnesota Timberwolves…

Marquette Golden Eagles point guard Tyler Kolek has been bouncing around all over the place in different NBA Mock Drafts. Kolek has gone from anywhere as a late first-round pick to an early second-round pick in the 2024 NBA Draft.

He was the Big East Player of the Year in 2022-2023 for Marquette and was also named to All-Big East First Team in 2023-2024. Kolek did miss some time last season because of an oblique injury.

He is 6’3″ and weighs 195 lbs. As a senior last season with the Golden Eagles, he averaged 15.3 PPG, 4.9 RPG, 7.7 APG, 0.2 BPG, and 1.6 SPG. Tyler Kolek shot 49.6% from the field, 38.8% from three-point land, and 85.1% from the free-throw line.

The Philadelphia 76ers will have the 16th overall pick in the first round of the 2024 NBA Draft. CBS Sports Travis Branham in his latest NBA Mock Draft has Philadelphia taking Kolek with that pick. Branham said:

Philadelphia finished as the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference with a 47-35 record. They lost in the first round of the NBA Playoffs against the second-seeded New York Knicks in six games. It has been over 20 years since the Philadelphia 76ers made it to the NBA Finals.

Tyler Kolek and Tyrese Maxey being in the 76ers backcourt would be an interesting backcourt. Joel Embiid has yet to be in the Eastern Conference Finals in his NBA career.
