Former Timberwolves’ guard identified as franchise’s dream target in free agency, So, who could be on the Timberwolves’ radar this offseason?

The Minnesota Timberwolves season ended in an ugly fashion on Thursday night, but the work is just beginning for Anthony Edwards. Coming up short in the Western Conference Finals, plenty of blame can be placed on the Minnesota Timberwolves 22-year-old star.

While Anthony Edwards was prolific during a series with the Denver Nuggets, he got lost at times when facing the Dallas Mavericks. Motivation has never been something he has shied away from however, and Adidas used that notion in the latest commercial for Edwards’ AE 1 shoe.

Anthony Edwards hears all the hate
While there are plenty of fans that have praised Anthony Edwards’ game this season, some of his peers, and those that came before him, have questioned if he has what it takes to find another level. The video has captions.

Rocking a Minnesota Timberwolves green colorway of his Adidas AE 1’s in the spot, Edwards says “I hear all the hate.” Carmelo Anthony said, “Are you committed to really going out there and being the face of the league? Because they throwing that term around too loosely.”

Shrugging off the notion and continuing to get buckets, that’s the same type of mentality Edwards will need to have when working this offseason. Not looking to make this Western Conference Finals appearance a one-and-done scenario, the Timberwolves playmaker will be back in the lab this offseason.
