Georgia women’s basketball coach Katie Abrahamson-Henderson made $977,000 during the 2023-2024 contract season according to USA TODAY. Abrahamson-Henderson is 34-30 through two seasons with the Lady Bulldogs.

Abrahamson-Henderson, who coached at UCF before coming to Georgia, is the No. 19 highest paid coach in the country (does not include private schools). She is the sixth-highest paid coach in the SEC. LSU head coach Kim Mulkey is the highest paid coach in the country at $3,264,000. Another interesting name is former Georgia coach Joni Taylor, who is now at Texas A&M, made $1,500,000.

Comparatively, Georgia basketball head coach Mike White made $3,507,000. White was the No. 27 highest-paid coach in the country. White is also in his second season at Georgia.

Georgia women’s basketball finished with a losing record for the first time since going 6-19 during the 1978-1979 season. The Lady Bulldogs finished 2023-2024 with a disappointing record of 12-18 after making the NCAA Tournament a year ago.

Katie Abrahamson-Henderson and Georgia have the resources to consistently qualify for March Madness. Abrahmason-Henderson has a solid incoming recruiting class with four incoming players ranked among the ESPN top-100. The Lady Bulldogs will likely look to the transfer portal to add a few pieces as well.
