Leeds United finally sign Superstar for £10.1m today… See More…

The start of June has seen one major transfer line dominate the discourse amongst Leeds fans, with Brenden Aaronson returning to the club after a year out on loan in controversial circumstances.

He’s not the only player that could be forced to swallow pride and be re-integrated into Daniel Farke’s squad for 24/25, though.

Gladbach’s season saw them go backwards after parting ways with Farke in 2023, but they have been impressed with Wöber, to the point where they would like to sign him permanently.

The issue is that, as German outlet Kicker (13/6) report, that the asking price rising to £10.1million is too much for them to pay:

With this, it becomes less likely that Wöber will secure the permanent exit to Gladbach that his club are pursuing.

Should that be the case, Wöber will be due back at Thorp Arch for pre-season after his Euro 2024 campaign with Austria comes to an end.
