It’s safe to say that it worked out quite well for the UNC basketball program the last time a Richmond, Virginia big man committed to North Carolina.

On June 15, the first-day college coaches can directly contact the class of 2026 players, Hubert Davis and the UNC basketball program were among the many schools who contacted forward Latrell Allmond, a Richmond, Virginia native.

The 6-foot-8, 205-pound big man has received prior interest from the Tar Heels, as he’s already made an unofficial visit to Chapel Hill back in September.
