West Bromwich Sign a new Big Heat Coach form Burnley…..

Former Leeds United and Huddersfield Town coach Carlos Corberan has emerged among the frontrunners to replace Vincent Kompany at Burnley.

After suffering relegation to the Championship, Burnley lost their head coach when German giants Bayern Munich came calling for Kompany. The Clarets are now on the hunt for a new figure to spearhead their effort to return to the top flight.

Corberan, who is currently in charge of West Bromwich Albion, has emerged among the BetVictor frontrunners to fill the Turf Moor vacancy at 6/1. The only figure he sits behind in the list of frontrunners is Manchester United legend Ruud van Nistelrooy.

Corberan arrived in England in 2017, taking charge of Leeds’ under-23 side as the club restructured under then-owner Andrea Radrizzani. He enjoyed success at youth level, eventually moving into the senior set-up to work alongside Marcelo Bielsa.

However, it was not long before an opportunity to be a number one elsewhere came about and he left for Huddersfield in 2020. He guided the Terriers to the Championship play-off final in 2022, but could not get the club over the line.

Corberan departed after the defeat, heading to Greece for a spell in charge of Olympiacos. He returned to England after his dismissal to lead West Brom and is now a revered figure at The Hawthorns.

Leeds have been linked with a swoop for the Spaniard on more than one occasion since his exit, but a return has never materialised. More recently, he was among the frontrunners to take charge of Leicester City.
