Notre Dame Fighting Irish expected to see $88.5m player leave again on loan with deal…

According to a report from John Brice at FootballScoop.com, the Badgers are targeting Notre Dame recruiter Carter Auman for their Director of Player Personnel role.

Wisconsin’s current Director is Maximus Steinecker, who has done an outstanding job with the class of 2025 so far this year. Steinecker, who was named to the 247 Sports 30 under 30 list last year, would presumably receive some type of promotion if the Badgers can lure away Auman.

Auman, who has been a part of the Notre Dame recruiting staff for the past few years, has helped put together some impressive classes. The 2024 class was ranked ninth in the country and the early stages of the 2025 Notre Dame class is ranked second.

If the Badgers can maintain their current all-star staff while adding another up and coming recruiter, it will be an incredible boost to a program that already has a top 15 ranked 2025 class.
