Carlos Alcaraz has a firm plan in place for the 2024 Wimbledon Championships, which he shared after his Queen’s Club loss to Jack Draper.

Alcaraz began his grass season at the 2024 Cinch Championships, where he bested Francisco Cerundolo in his first match. It wasn’t a perfect match, but it was a decent way to start that part of the season.

He faced Draper in the next round and ran into serious trouble, ultimately losing the match in two sets. It was a disappointing finish for the young Spaniard, who was the defending champion, hoping to go far at the ATP 500 tournament once again.

He didn’t, and that obviously changed the way he’s approaching this grass season. Wimbledon is a clear goal for him, but entering it with only two matches wouldn’t be ideal.

Grass is a surface that comes naturally to Alcaraz, but he still needs a few matches to really find his best on it, and that’s why he’ll stay at the Queen’s Club in the following days.

After that, he’ll likely move to the All England Club, where top players should follow him and arrive soon, so he’ll have plenty of chances to practice with some of the best.

On top of that, he might sign up for one of the two exhibitions that will be played next week, such as the one at the Hurlingham Club or the Boodles Challenge to get an extra match in.
