Leeds United Superstar/legend died in a plane Crash few minutes ago…

It has been a month and a day since that fateful result at Wembley which has condemned Leeds to the second tier of English football for a second season, while Southampton gain an instant top-flight return.

The effect it has had on both transfers windows is stark. Southampton do not need to sell any of their squad and have secured a permanent deal for Taylor Harwood-Bellis believed to be worth north of £20m.

They have also landed the return of Adam Lallana after his Brighton deal expired. Leeds meanwhile have not made any signings though the return of Brenden Aaronson will feel like one, as he returns next term.

Indeed, Leeds will now need to sell a handful of key players with Crysencio Summerville, Willy Gnonto, Ilia Gruev, Archie Gray and Charlie Cresswell generating interest but Leeds are yet to make any movements.

A report from TalkSPORT now says that Southampton are in the running to sign a player that played for Leeds during Marcelo Bielsa’s reign, and actually scored five goals in his 19 games under the Argentine.

Eddie Nketiah is likely to be the talk of the window once again this summer as he struggles to start regularly under Mikel Arteta. Southampton are rivalling West Ham and Crystal Palace for his signature.
