Fresh update provided as West Bromwich line up summer transfer move for Sunderland player…

Euro 2024 might be well underway, but so is the 2024 summer transfer window and West Bromwich Albion’s Championship rivals have been busy, as the Baggies look to improve upon last season that saw them fall in the play-off semi-finals.

A Championship club are in pursuit of a goalkeeper and are looking to snap him up on a free transfer. A former player from France’s U21s team, he currently plies his trade in the top flight of Belgian football.

In the meantime, a Hull City man looks set to leave East Yorkshire to make the jump to Turkey – how will this affect the Tigers’ chances of promotion ahead of next season?

Queens Park Rangers are eyeing up a free transfer for goalkeeper Paul Nardi in the summer transfer window, according to a report from French journalist Mohamed Toubache-Ter. On his official X (formerly Twitter) page, Toubache-Ter simply wrote (roughly translated from French): “QPR is pushing hard to get Paul Nardi signed!!”

The Rs are in desperate need of a new shot-stopper before the dawn of next season. Currently, all of their goalkeepers are out of contract at the end of the month – while they are in talks with former Chelsea ‘keeper Asmir Begovic regarding a new deal, the 37-year-old has yet to agree terms to keep him at Loftus Road. In addition to this, the club confirmed back in May that Jordan Archer would leave on a free transfer upon the expiration of his existing deal.

As such, bringing a player in such as Nardi is necessary business, lest they kick off next season without a goalkeeper. He is no slouch – the 30-year-old played in ten Juliper Pro League games last season for KAA Genk, keeping a single clean sheet along the way. Furthermore, he also made two appearances in the Europa Conference League.
