Minnesota Vikings enter the race to sign ‘sensational’ Matt LaFleur signing from Green Bay Packers…
The Minnesota Vikings are expected to finish in last place in the NFC North. This is the third year of the Kwesi Adofo-Mensah-Kevin O’Connell partnership, and they were able to lead the team to the division title in their first year. Their partnership appears strong, but if the pundits are correct and the Vikings finish behind the Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Bears, cracks in the armor may begin to develop.
Vikings fans may understand that the Lions have Super Bowl aspirations and that Jordan Love appeared to grow into an elite NFL quarterback, but the idea that the team won’t be able to compete with these rivals and that the Bears may have passed them is simply not acceptable.
There is not a lot of pressure on that duo in late June, but one month from now it will begin in earnest, and it will ratchet up throughout August. Going anything but full speed in training camp and taking the usual approach with preseason games could have a ruinous impact on the team. The Vikings must be ready when the season gets underway September 8 against the New York Giants on the road.
