There’s no doubt that the whole mood of the club has turned around enormously over the past week with the long-awaited appointment of a new coach and perhaps one of the most high-profile kit and retail launches we’ve ever had.

The excitement surrounding the start of pre-season and the nostalgia trip we’re all getting thanks to the Hummel reunion has certainly whetted people’s appetites for what lies ahead.

But really, the hard work starts now. A big month lies ahead for Régis Le Bris as he starts getting to know his players, working, traveling, and training with them.

There will also be the arrival of the Frenchman’s coaches while Kristjaan Speakman will be working hard on strengthening the squad.

I’ve no idea what will happen with ins and outs, so who knows how we will line up on the opening day of the season? But certainly, the mood has changed for the better and we need to trust those charged with the responsibility of running the club to have us well prepared.
