Could the Dolphins add a former All-Pro WR in free agency ahead of camp?

The Miami Dolphins are one of the most beloved and storied NFL franchises. Initially founded in 1966, Miami has been home to some of the greatest football players of all time, including 13 Hall of Famers.

Who are the Dolphins’ 6 best draft picks in franchise history

Zach Thomas was a late-round pick who paid off in a big way. He wasn’t the biggest or strongest player on the team, but the middle linebacker’s presence was felt all over the field.

Taken in the fifth round (154th overall) in the 1996 draft, Thomas was a seven-time Pro Bowler and five-time All-Pro throughout 12 seasons with the Dolphins where he collected 1,640 combined tackles, 70 tackles for loss, 34 pass deflections, 19.5 sacks, 17 interceptions, 16 forced fumbles, and seven fumble recoveries.

After wrapping up his career with one final year playing for the Dallas Cowboys, Thomas earned a spot in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Hall of Famer Dwight Stephenson’s tenure with the Dolphins will never be forgotten. The center, taken in the 1980 draft in the second round (48th overall), spearheaded the Dolphins’ offensive line for Dan Marino’s initial five seasons and successfully kept the young quarterback upright as an explosive blocker. Though an injury ultimately ended his career short, Stephenson still goes down as one of the best centers of all time.
