Agreement sign today: The owner of WEST HAM announce the trading the team to….
English Premier League side West Ham United have not yet confirmed the new intake of academy scholars for the 2024-2025 season.
Promising Nigerian striker Majid Balogun has spilled the beans by taking to social media to reveal that his transfer to West Ham United is done and dusted.
Balogun has switched to the Hammers on a two-year scholarship deal following his release by Manchester Unted at the end of last season.
Before departing Manchester United, Balogun and four other U16 players – Leech, Freeman, Seim and Nathaniel – were presented with a framed jersey by the Red Devils.
The Golden Eaglets-eligible player trained with Leeds United before agreeing terms with West Ham.
For the upcoming season, he has been promoted to West Ham’s U18s side on a permanent basis and he’s also set to be included on the club’s Premier League roster for the first half of the 2024-2025 season as a first year scholar.
Balogun will be hoping to emulate the footsteps of Academy graduates Armstrong Okoflex, Mipo Odubeko, Manny Omoyinmi and Ajibola Alese who rose through the youth team ranks to make their senior debuts for West Ham.
