Former Van Vandal and Arkansas Little Rock Trojan Hoss Brewer has signed a contract with the New York Mets as an undrafted free agent.
The right handed pitcher went 4-5 last season with a 3.95 ERA. In 84 innings pitched, Brewer had 101 strikeouts to 36 walks. In 2023, Brewer went 3-2 in 43 innings pitched with a 4.98 ERA and in 2022, he went 3-2 in 56 innings pitched with a 6.23 ERA.
Before attending Arkansas Little Rock, Brewer spent one season at Seminole State College in Seminole, Oklahoma. He pitched 23 innings with a 6.26 ERA and 31 strikeouts.
