Player ‘close to moving’ to Sunderland – Hammers’ signing ‘should be completed’ for £37m…
Wrexham have only played one pre-season game so far this summer but have already suffered a major injury blow ahead of the new season.
Phil Parkinson will have been looking forward to the new League One campaign after winning back-to-back promotions.
Summer signings have been the focus for Wrexham fans and five deals have now been secured.
Arthur Okonkwo, Lewis Brunt, George Dobson, Callum Burton and Sebastian Revan have all been secured, adding depth in key areas of the squad.
Unfortunately, Wrexham have suffered a blow with Paul Mullin forced to undergo surgery earlier this summer.
Mullin has gone under the knife to solve back and hamstring problems and looks set to miss the whole of pre-season, possibly even the early stages of the League One campaign.
That is a nightmare situation for Wrexham and it may just push Phil Parkinson into signing another striker this summer.
Wrexham may be tempted to add another goalscorer and there have been rumours surrounding such a move.
Reports earlier in July suggested that Wrexham were interested in signing Millwall striker Tom Bradshaw.
That move hasn’t progressed and Millwall boss Neil Harris has played down all speculation surrounding a deal.
Wrexham may need to look elsewhere and a Premier League loanee may not be the worst idea.
