The East London club submitted a bid to sign the 23-year-old versatile full-back from Nottingham Forest earlier this summer. Neco Williams has found a stable footing since moving across the Premier League by joining Nottingham Forest from Liverpool in July 2022. A native of Wrexham, the Welshman spent his formative years with Liverpool after joining the Merseyside club’s academy as an eight-year-old in 2009.

While the 23-year-old has not been the undisputed first-choice right-back for Nottingham Forest in the last two years, he has amassed 68 appearances thus far for the Premier League club while chipping in with one goal and two assists. However, Williams is a regular for Wales, turning out 39 times thus far for the Dragons.
