Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen sustained a hand injury in victory over the Arizona Cardinals, casting a shadow over his impressive performance.

Allen, who played a key role in the Bills’ comeback win, hurt his left, non-throwing hand after a hard landing while scoring a fourth-quarter touchdown.

The injury occurred as Allen hurdled over Cardinals safety Budda Baker, only to be pushed by two defenders.

Despite the impact, Allen remained in the game with his hand heavily taped.

After the game, he reassured fans but indicated that more evaluations were necessary.

While Allen was uncertain about the injury’s severity, Dr. David Chao, a former NFL team physician, offered an optimistic assessment.

Chao, analyzing the play footage, said Allen was unlikely to have suffered a fracture, and the injury should not affect his availability going forward.

“He landed with his right elbow on his left hand/wrist on the touchdown. There’s not gonna be a fracture. He’s gonna be fine. It’s his off-hand. No big deal,” Chao explained on his injury analysis

Allen’s hand will be closely monitored ahead of Thursday’s game against the Miami Dolphins, as the Bills have a short turnaround for their next matchup.

His performance on Sunday marked another milestone, tying Hall of Famer Steve Young for the most games by a quarterback with two-plus passing and rushing touchdowns.

Allen also tied Cam Newton for 10 career games with two or more rushing scores.

Bills coach Sean McDermott expressed concern about Allen’s condition but stated that further information would be available after additional medical evaluations.

“Yeah, always concerned anytime anybody is hurt. In this case, for sure Josh. I’ll know more, again, hopefully in the next couple of hours,” McDermott told reporters.

With Allen at the helm, Buffalo’s offense has shown resilience, but maintaining the quarterback’s health will be crucial as they prepare for their upcoming games.
