At least one person is dead and seven others are injured following a shooting outside a lounge in Louisville early Saturday morning.
Louisville Metro Police said around 12:45 a.m. officers were called to a nightclub for a shooting.
Upon arrival, officers found a man outside of the business with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Joseph D. Bowers, 40, of Indianapolis was identified by Jefferson County Coroner’s Office as the victim.
A second victim was also found at the scene with gunshot wounds and was transported to the hospital with injuries believed to be critical and life threatening.
LMPD also confirmed six other adults showed up to other area hospitals with injuries stemming from the shooting. Police said their injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.
