So sad: the clemson team head coach has back off for the…..

Top performers and projected first-rounders have received plenty of notoriety coming out of the combine ahead of the 2024 NFL Draft, but teams are built through their two-deep and there’s a healthy number of overlooked talents and potentially impactful late-rounders to comb over in the coming days.

NFL scouting types and personnel gurus are checking every box in the evaluation process as draft boards are being prepared and target lists confirmed. Every year, there’s a couple of players who seem to slip through the cracks amid draft buzz for others whose stock underwhelms for various reasons, including prior injuries or average testing numbers.

When Day 3 of the draft rolls around, however, starters can still be found and production reflected on tape can sometimes outweigh what players showed in tights.

One of the early momentum-makers at the combine, Cedric Johnson placed the best among his group of defensive linemen with an official time of 4.63 in the 40-yard dash. Later, Johnson flexed an impressive 1.61 10-yard split, a 10-foot, 2-inch broad jump and perhaps the most impressive, a 38-inch vertical that was among the top 5-best among defensive linemen and linebackers. Johnson had the highest mark for the majority of the scouting day, per Inside The Rebels. At 6-3, 265 pounds, Johnson is agile for his size and had 40 tackles in his final season at Ole Miss.
