Brad Stevens and Gordon Hayward have been friends since the former was a Butler University player for the latter.
The most recent episode of Podcast P, which is hosted by Paul George of the Los Angeles Clippers, had an appearance by former Boston Celtics forward Gordon Hayward.
Speaking extensively about his three seasons in Boston, Hayward disclosed that, while being recruited by Brad Stevens to join the Celtics, the 47-year-old stated that his goal was for Hayward, Kyrie Irving, and Al Horford to eventually pass the team down to Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum.
During his 125 regular-season games with the Celtics, Hayward shot 35.7 percent from outside the 3-point line and 48.4 percent from the field, averaging 13.9 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game.
He signed a four-year, $120 million contract with the Hornets in the 2020 summer, ending his tenure with the Celtics.
