BREAKING NEWS:After experiencing personal challenges, a Chelsea player says he is feeling “a bit down” this season.

Defeat to Arsenal shows Chelsea have plenty of players, but few ideas

After experiencing internal struggles, one Chelsea player has acknowledged feeling “a bit down” this season.

The pressure will always be there because, to be honest, Chelsea’s season has been challenging overall and several players have had difficulty finding consistent form.

But as a striker, Armando Broja in particular has acknowledged that he has found it difficult to handle the burden of being relied upon to score goals, and as a result, he is depressed.

Broja also only recently recovered from a serious injury, so it was only a matter of time before he found his footing.

Hopefully, his goal against Preston North End on Saturday night in the FA Cup will give him the confidence he needs to push forward. In Nicolas Jackson’s absence, he has a genuine opportunity to make an impression.

According to Broja, who was quoted by The Evening Standard, “You can get a bit down when you go on a run where you are not scoring much.” Although it’s hardly the best feeling in the world, winning a match like this makes up for it.

It was a significant one for both the game and me, of course. Misha (Mykhailo Mudryk) did a fantastic job playing to Malo (Gusto), and Malo had a fantastic performance. It wasn’t a poor header; I simply tried to get my brain around it.

“Scoring goals is our job; we get paid to do it. It’s what everyone considers to be a goal scorer, a striker. It is challenging because, although there have been excellent players who have not scored in every game, everyone wants you to.

“I love scoring goals, but the end result is what matters most to me.” I’m a striker, and I enjoy it very much.

“I have spoken with the management numerous times.

“I felt like I was going through a really trying time recovering from my injury. You could say that I felt depressed about everything going on because I had been absent from the team for such a long time and wasn’t involved.

“I felt like myself a lot more after I returned. I still believe I have a lot more to offer. In addition, I can improve my body language, as the gaffer points out.

Sometimes I’m a little too hard on myself. That’s because I have high expectations for myself and am confident in my abilities. The manager is merely attempting to relieve me of that burden and let me relax a little.

He has been assisting me every day, therefore I’m attempting to heed that advise. All I have to do is smile more and think a little more positively.
