BREAKING NEWS: CROWS KEY PROFICT STAR HAS BEEN SUSPENDED BY THE AFL FOR 8MONTHS DUE TO…

Adelaide has made two changes for its Round Five match against Carlton at Marvel Stadium on Saturday.

The Crows have included forward Lachlan Gollant and defender Will Hamill in the line-up.

Gollant returns to the side after featuring in Adelaide’s Round One team against Gold Coast, while Hamill will play his first match since Round 21, 2022.

Crows Head of Football Adam Kelly said Hamill had put together a solid pre-season.

“Will certainly had claims to a position in the team as we approached the season off the back of a strong pre-season and that opportunity has now presented,” Kelly said.

“Will’s speed, run and carry are an obvious weapon but his ability to lock in defensively and get the job done are not to be ignored.”

“(And) Lachie has performed consistently at SANFL level for an extended period and both he and we are looking for that to translate to consistency at the AFL level.

“Making the most of this opportunity will look like him playing his role, nothing more and nothing less.”

Backman Patrick Parnell will miss this week’s clash due to a shoulder injury, while Chris Burgess has been omitted.

The Crows will be looking to halt Carlton’s unbeaten start to the season.

“The challenge is a significant one,” Kelly said.

“The Blues have started the year as they finished last season, laying claim to being one of the very best teams in the competition.

“We made progress last week without getting a winning result.

“Our objective is to maintain the areas of our game that we were pleased with last week and see improvement in the areas we know we need to get better.”

Defender Josh WorrellSam BerryMatt CrouchBrayden Cook and Gollant are named on the interchange bench, with one to be named as the substitute one hour before the game.
