Tennis Sign Jannik Sinner To Two-Year, $14 Million Deal…..

What does Jannik Sinner need to do at the French Open to overtake Novak Djokovic as world No. 1? The second Grand Slam of the season sees the chance for Sinner to become the first Italian man to top the ATP world rankings. However, both Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz are battling injury issues ahead of the tournament, which starts on Sunday, May 26, live on Eurosport and discovery+.

When the 2024 French Open starts there will be a new ATP world No. 1 – in the live rankings at least.
With Novak Djokovic’s 2,000 points dropping off from being defending champion, Jannik Sinner will start the Grand Slam as the provisional new No. 1.
Djokovic was expected to be in a better position ahead of the tournament but his early exit from the Italian Open has left Sinner with a strong chance to become the first Italian men’s world No. 1.
With Sinner and Alcaraz both missing the Italian Open due to injury, Djokovic had the chance to extend his lead at the top of the rankings.
Djokovic, who has spent a record 425 weeks as world No. 1, entered the ATP Masters event with 180 points to defend from making the quarter-finals last year, so could have gained points by reaching the semi-finals or final.
However, his shock third-round loss to Alejandro Tabilo has instead seen him lose points.
