After the Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Boston Celtics last night, guard Derrick White of the Boston Celtics made a forceful statement about the Thunder’s star player, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
All White could say about Gilgeous-Alexander was good things.
In reference to Gilgeous-Alexander, White remarked, “He’s one of the best players in the league.” “It seems like he finds his area and makes a play in every game. Thus, it goes without saying that we must identify the problem and work to fix it. He demonstrated tonight why he is among the league’s greatest players.
In the end, the Thunder defeated the Celtics 127-123. In 36 minutes, Gilgeous-Alexander shot 14 of 22 from the field, 3 of 5 from beyond the arc, and 5 of 8 from the free-throw line, finishing with 36 points, six rebounds, and seven assists.
White declared, “Shai’s one of the best in the league.” They are quite adept at confusing us, testing our communication, and doing all of that. They are therefore a difficult squad to defend, and I believe the entire league is attempting to figure it out.
In the West, the Thunder hold the second-best record. 23-9 is their number. Gilgeous-Alexander is shooting 54.9% overall, 33.0% from three, and 90.7% from the foul line to average 31.4 points, 5.7 rebounds, 6.4 assists, 2.6 steals, and 0.8 blocks this season.
In terms of total points, points per game, total steals, steals per game, field goals made, and player efficiency rating, Gilgeous-Alexander is ranked third in the NBA. One of the favorites to win this season’s MVP Award is the Kentucky product.
With Gilgeous-Alexander leading the way, OKC has a chance to win it all with the Thunder making the playoffs for the first time since 2020, according to all the signals.
