Powers-Johnson possesses an excellent combination of size and athleticism. He was one of the stars of the Senior Bowl before suffering a hamstring injury midway through the second session. Although he weighs 334 pounds, the center would be among the biggest in the NFL right away, but his movement is 20 pounds lighter. Buffalo would appreciate his size in the middle of an offensive line that has recommitted itself to rushing the ball, even though he is a downhill blocker.
Polk is a strong receiver who performs well on choice and underneath routes. At Washington, Polk was the backup option to Odunze, but he still caught 69 passes for 1,159 yards and nine touchdowns. The 204-pound, 6-foot-2 player has potential to be a WR1.
With this selection, the Bills want to rebuild their defensive back group by selecting DeJean, a very athletic and adaptable corner. He played over the slot and in the box in 2023, but his best position was outside corner. Buffalo may try to use him in several different contexts.
When healthy, Newton would give Buffalo a young defensive tackle who can provide enough anchor to keep linemen off of Matt Milano. In fact, Newton may have been selected even higher than in the late 20s; among DTs, he was fourth in sacks and fifth in run stuffs.
This season, there has been a great deal of discussion about Buffalo’s wide receiver room. Keon Coleman would relieve burden on Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs in Joe Brady’s scheme despite his subpar route running and lack of elite athleticism. Allen would gain access to a large player who excels at making difficult catches at all three levels.
Once more, Buffalo’s season came to an unpleasant conclusion. For the first time since the Patrick Mahomes era began, Kansas City appeared weak, and the Bills were still unable to get over that obstacle.
