Philadelphia 76ers Sign a new Big key player form New York Knicks…
There’s no denying that Mitchell Robinson’s season-ending ankle injury played a key role in the New York Knicks‘ Eastern Conference Finals loss to the Indiana Pacers. Robinson was able to suit up in Game 1, but he ended up missing the rest of the series after being forced to undergo surgery on a lingering left ankle issue.
In case you forgot, that was the same ankle that flared up after Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid took Robinson down during their second-round encounter.
Robinson recently guested on the Roommates Show of teammates Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart. At one point in the interview, Brunson asked Robinson to comment on what they labeled a “Khabib takedown” by Embiid, in reference to former UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.
To be fair, Robinson played down the incident, saying that it really didn’t mean much at that time. He did admit, however, that the more he saw the video, the more he felt aggrieved by Embiid’s actions.
Robinson was then asked if he felt anybody else would have been sanctioned more heavily if they were in Embiid’s shoes, who for his part, was assessed with nothing more than a Flagrant 1 foul. Robinson got brutally honest with his response:
