Alessandro Bastoni, the center back for Inter Milan, is supposedly someone Chelsea is prepared to outbid everyone for this month.
For a number of years, the Serie A powerhouses have relied on the Italian international, who is widely considered as one of the top defenders in the world right now.
Since becoming a regular for Inter, Bastoni—hailed as a “superstar” by agent Roberto De Fanti—has been linked to a Premier League move. Chelsea may now make a strong effort to capture the defender.
According to TV Play, Chelsea is prepared to pay €60 million (£53 million) to acquire Bastoni, and the Blues are prepared to outbid everyone this month in an attempt to sign the 24-year-old.
A new striker and defense are the west London team’s top priorities in January, therefore Bastoni would be a great addition for Mauricio Pochettino’s team this month.
But considering where Chelsea is in the Premier League and how good Inter has been this year, Bastoni might feel more comfortable staying in Milan than moving to London.
