The oldest active player in the NHL is still having a difficult season.
Sheldon Keefe, the head coach of the Toronto Maple Leafs, stated on Saturday that defenseman Mark Giordano is sidelined due to a lower-body injury.

The Toronto native averaged about 15 minutes per game during the previous seven games, but he only played over 19 minutes twice since the beginning of January, despite playing near to 20 minutes on a regular basis until November.

Giordano signed a two-year contract worth $800,000 in May 2022 with the Leafs, and he is currently in the final year of that deal. Giordano has seven goals and 35 assists in 133 games with his home team, finishing with a +44 plus/minus. In the last two postseason campaigns for the squad, he also recorded four assists.

Giordano has 418 assists and 156 goals in 1,136 NHL games. He has also earned 11 points in 41 postseason contests.
