Giordano might not be out for the day, Keefe continued.
Following the team’s morning skate, the bench manager for the Leafs also disclosed that Conor Timmins is out due to sickness.
Giordano sustained the injury on Wednesday night during Toronto’s 5-4 victory over the Dallas Stars. He was conspicuously absent from the team’s outdoor practice at Nathan Phillips Square on Friday and Saturday.
William Lagesson was skating on the team’s third pair with Timothy Liljegren, Giordano’s defense partner, according to TSN’s Claire Hanna. This was before theirGiordano has not had the most successful 2023–24 season. In 34 games, the 40-year-old has just one goal and five assists. Following his stop of a shot against the Florida Panthers on November 28, the former Norris Trophy winner missed 12 games in late November and early December.
Giordano had been playing fewer minutes ever since his injury healed. The Toronto native averaged about 15 minutes per game during the previous seven games, but he only played over 19 minutes twice since the beginning of January, despite playing near to 20 minutes on a regular basis until November.
Giordano signed a two-year contract worth $800,000 in May 2022 with the Leafs, and he is currently in the final year of that deal. With his hometown team in 133 gamesWith the Professional Women’s Hockey League having such a fantastic first month, it is almost easy to forget that awards will eventually be given out.
According to sources who spoke with DFO, the league will be revealing at the end of the season which individual and team prizes will be given out. That will also apply to any names that may come up.

Note from the author: These are the honors we believe the PWHL to bestow. The number of new trophies that will be introduced has not been announced by the league.Tyler: Well, besides goalie and defender, I think we could name all individual awards after James. In the early years of women’s hockey, she was an incredible player. She has dedicated her life to promoting the game and has broken numerous records, including scoring 11 goals in the 1990 World Championships. Being among the first female inductees into the Hockey Hall of Fame was an obvious decision for her, given her long history of outstanding contributions to Canada. Hunter: She’s been dubbed “The Wayne Gretzky of women’s hockey,” but that title is out of date and she’s in a class by herself. James was the first female superstar in the sport, even above the gold medals and titles. She has sponsored grassroots hockey and coached at all levels of the game since retiring.
Hunter: She’s been referred to as “The Wayne Gretzky of women’s hockey,” but she’s in a league of her own. Gold medals and trophies aside, James was the first female superstar in the history of the sport. Since retirement, she has supported recreational hockey teams and served as a hockey coach at various levels.
