Paddy Bowden, the second wife wife of Iron Maiden star Bruce Dickinson, 61, has died. The singer, who has three children with Paddy, has called her death a “terrible tragedy”.

“Our children Austin, Griffin and Kia and I are devastated.

“Out of respect for Paddy we won’t be making any further comment at this hugely difficult and painful time for our family.”

Emergency services were called to their marital home in London earlier today

The pair married back in 1990, but are believed to have split privately in 2018. News of their break-up was announced last November.

Following their separation, reports claimed he was left facing a £45million divorce bill.

The pair tied the knot after dating for two years following his split from first wife Jane.

He has since moved in with his girlfriend, fitness instructor Leana Dolci, in paris

A source previously told The Mirror: “Leana has always been a huge Iron Maiden fan, following them around for nearly 10 years.

“She and Bruce have got really close over the past year and she has even met his children.

“Paddy is in South America having some space from it all.”

Bruce spoke out about life after their split as he announced his plans for a new solo album last year.

Speaking to Argentina’s Clarin magazine, he also confirmed he was living with his girlfriend in Paris and was finding time to go to the pub with his children Austin, 29, Griffin, 27, and daughter Kia, 28,

He said: “I’m very busy, after the show in Chile I go to London, I arrive at 7 in the morning, I take a shower, from there I go to a conference with engineers, then I wear a f*****g black tie to attend a charity dinner.

“The next day I have a conference, then a meeting with potential investors for my company and I will finally go to a pub with my children.

“On Saturday we will meet again, then I go to Paris, where I live with my girlfriend.”

Bruce released his autobiography What Does This Button Do? in 2017.

Within this, he detailed his battle with cancer, which he was treated for three years earlier.

The heavy metal star admitted he had considered dying as soon as he was diagnosed.

“Frankly as soon as I was diagnosed [I considered it]”, he told NME

as three children with Paddy, has called her death a “terrible tragedy”.

“But it wasn’t in the forefront of my mind because I wasn’t dying at that moment.

“At the time I was diagnosed until they sorted things out, my chances of survival were realistically 60/4, which is better than 50/50.”
